DrivnBye V2

Privacy Policy

This policy explains what DrivnBye V2 collects when you join the campaign at drivnbye.com, how we use it, who can see it and the choices you have.

Last updated

DrivnBye V2 is operated by LiveMap LLC, a Georgia limited liability company in the United States, which manages your account and Early Access billing and is responsible for your information. “We” and “us” mean LiveMap LLC. The app has its own Privacy Policy.

1. What we collect

  • When you join: your email address, the social handle you type and, if you use one, the referral code from an invite link. If you arrive through a campaign link, such as our Instagram bio, we save its source (for example, “instagram”) with your signup.
  • Confirming your email: we email you a 6-digit code. We store codes only as one-way hashes, and each code expires after 10 minutes.
  • Referrals and rankings: who invited you, the friends who join with your link, when their signups are confirmed, your referral count and your place on the leaderboard.
  • Mini games: when you play a mini game in your dashboard, each run’s game, start and finish times, the score your browser reports and whether we accepted it, and your best score and place on that game’s leaderboard.
  • Your settings: whether your handle appears on the public leaderboards and whether you get V2 news emails. For new signups, leaderboard display starts on and news emails start off. We also record if you unsubscribe, or if our emails to you bounce or are reported as spam.
  • Rewards: the campaign rewards attached to your account and when they were given.
  • Early Access purchases: what you bought and when, the price, activation, renewal and refund status, the version of the terms you accepted, and our references for your Stripe customer record, payment and subscription. Stripe collects your card details directly. We never see your full card number.
  • Connection details: your IP address and browser details, which our hosting provider and servers use to deliver the site, keep it secure and limit repeated requests.

2. How we use it

  • To create your campaign spot and DrivnBye account, confirm your email and sign you in to your dashboard.
  • To count confirmed referrals, rank the referral and mini game leaderboards, and work out reward tiers.
  • To show your handle on the public leaderboards while public display is on.
  • To send the emails described in section 5.
  • To process Early Access purchases, renewals, cancellations and refunds.
  • To attach your rewards and purchase to your DrivnBye account, so they carry over to the app when you use the same email.
  • To keep the campaign fair and secure, for example by limiting repeated requests, checking mini game scores and reviewing self-referrals, duplicate accounts and fake signups.
  • To see which campaign links bring people in, using signup sources and campaign measurement (section 4).
  • To follow the law and respond to lawful requests.

We don’t sell your personal information, share it for targeted advertising or show ads. The campaign site has no advertising or third-party tracking tools.

3. Who can see your information

  • The public leaderboards. “Show my handle on the public boards” is on by default for new signups. When it’s on, anyone can see your handle, rank and referral count, and people signed in to the V2 dashboard can see your handle, best score and place on each mini game’s leaderboard. You’re ranked either way, and you can turn it off anytime in your dashboard.
  • People you invite. Your invite link can show your handle to the people who open it, so they know who invited them.
  • Your email address is never shown publicly.
  • Service providers that run parts of the campaign for us: our hosting provider, Resend (which sends our emails), Stripe (which processes payments) and the providers that host our servers and databases. Each gets only what it needs for its job.
  • For safety and the law. We share information when we believe in good faith that the law requires it, or to prevent serious harm.
  • In a business transfer. If our business is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets, your information may transfer as part of that deal and stays covered by this policy.

4. Cookies and browser storage

The campaign site uses a few cookies and browser storage items. None are used for advertising or cross-site tracking.

db_campaign_session Cookie
Keeps you signed in on this device after you confirm your email, including when you close and reopen your browser. Page scripts can’t read it. Lasts up to 30 days, or until you sign out.
db_campaign_visitor, db_campaign_visit Cookies
Campaign measurement: random IDs that count visits from campaign links and connect your first visit to your signup. They record only the link’s source, medium and campaign tags, not the full page address, the page you came from or your email. Page scripts can’t read them. They last 90 days and 30 minutes, and aren’t set if your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control.
db_pending_email Session storage
Remembers the email you just joined with, so you don’t have to type it again on the code screen. Cleared when you confirm your email or close the tab.
db_game_best_{game} Local storage
Your best score in each mini game, kept on this device so it still shows when scores can’t be saved. Scores from runs you play while signed in are also sent to us for the leaderboards.
Stripe cookies
Set by Stripe on its checkout pages to process payments and prevent fraud. Stripe controls them.

5. Emails

  • Account emails include your sign-in codes, purchase confirmations and reward notices. We send these even if news emails are off, because they’re part of your campaign spot and purchases.
  • News and reveals come only if you turn on “Email me V2 news and reveals” in your dashboard. Each one has an unsubscribe link, or you can turn them off in your dashboard.
  • If our emails to you bounce or are reported as spam, we stop sending campaign emails to that address.

6. How long we keep it

We don’t yet delete campaign records on a fixed schedule. We keep your campaign information while the campaign runs and for as long as your rewards or Early Access purchase depend on it. We keep purchase records as long as we need them for accounting, tax, refunds, disputes and other legal duties. Signing out ends your dashboard session. You can ask us to delete your campaign information at any time (see section 7).

7. Your choices and rights

  • In your dashboard, you can change your handle, turn the public leaderboards and news emails on or off, and sign out.
  • Your rights. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your information, get a copy of it, object to or restrict some uses, and withdraw consent. Using these rights won’t change how we treat you.
  • How to ask: email support@drivnbye.com from the email you joined with. We may send a code to that address to confirm it’s you. We’ll respond within the time the law where you live allows, and explain anything we must keep, such as purchase records.
  • If you’re unhappy with our answer, you can contact your data protection authority or your state attorney general.

8. EEA, UK and Swiss visitors

If European, UK or Swiss data protection law applies to you, LiveMap LLC is the controller of your information. We rely on:

  • Our agreement with you for your campaign spot, dashboard, referrals, mini games, rewards and Early Access purchases.
  • Your consent for news emails and for showing your handle on the public leaderboards. You can withdraw it anytime in your dashboard.
  • Our legitimate interests in keeping the campaign secure and fair and in understanding which campaign links bring people in. You can object to these uses.
  • Legal obligations for keeping financial records.

When we transfer information out of the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, we rely on safeguards recognized by law, such as the Standard Contractual Clauses in our providers’ data processing terms.

9. Children

DrivnBye V2 is for people 16 and older. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you think someone under 16 has joined, email support@drivnbye.com and we’ll delete their campaign information, except anything the law requires us to keep.

10. Security

Sign-in codes and dashboard sessions are stored only as one-way hashes, the session cookie can’t be read by page scripts, and repeated signup and code requests are limited. No system is completely secure, and we can’t guarantee the security of your information. If a breach affects your information, we’ll notify you and the authorities as the law requires.

11. Where your information is processed

DrivnBye is run from the United States, and your information is processed and stored there. Our service providers may also process it in other countries, which may have different data protection laws from yours.

12. Changes to this policy

We’ll update this policy when our practices change and change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we’ll tell you by email before it takes effect.
